I think I might be crazy, husband says I just think too much?

I feel as though people are nice on the surface, and then behind your back cut you to the bone, I am not trusting of most people…I constantly stress about what others think and will say about me or my actions. I often doubt my ideas and feelings, sometimes I don’t feel valid or part of “society”. I feel tremendous anxiety about my alcoholic and abusive upbringing and also feel guilt over some things I did as a child. I constantly compare myself to others and feel I don’t measure up. I have a wonderful loving husband and great children, and I worry that all this “action” in my brain is undermining their ability to live a normal, happy life. We don’t have insurance, so are there any other realistic ways of dealing with this? Husband thinks I might just be thinking things to death…my IQ tests at 152, but then again, I think that somehow I must have cheated on the IQ test. Any ideas would be appreciated….be easy on the criticism, I’m delicate!

You are a good , loving person with a wonderful family . Not all people can even claim to have all that! You need to STOP worrying about what other people think! People will always talk, wether it is good or bad. You must simply do what you feel is the right thing to do or say at the time. Go to the library and get a book on being assertive and how to boost your self esteem. Call a local hospital or social service to see where you can get free help.
