I need help identifying and placing a value on a vintage baseball bat?
I just bought a vintage baseball bat – “Mclaughlin-Millard, Inc. Northern White Ash, Adirondack 302, Dolgeville New York” with “Flexible Whip Action” inscribed to the right. It is a “Mantle Type Personal Model, Ligninized”. Also, “Reg. U.S. PAT. OFF.” above the McL/Millard.
Can anyone help me with the value and perhaps history of this bat, I have dated it to 1958 – 1960. It is in good shape, but in need of sanding.
Thanks!
my guess make a call or write the company and ask them to identify the bat since you have most of the info already. then find a sports memorbilia appraiser and see how much it is. some local auction houses have pretty good appraisrs.
